![]() ![]() If the Metroid Prime remake claims are real, then that would be the perfect announcement for the anniversary of the series. Now, that’s basically coming to Nintendo Switch. A full Metroid Prime remake that uses the Joy-Con's gyro controls for aiming (similar to the Wiimote aiming in Metroid Prime Trilogy) would be a huge addition to the Nintendo Switch library. All three were compiled for the Metroid Prime Trilogy, which came out for the Wii in 2009, adding in Wii Remote controls. Metroid Prime Trilogy is one of the most awaited games on the Nintendo Switch, and we have got some exciting information about it. There have been lots of rumors about a Metroid Prime remake, which has even been said to be part of a Metroid Prime Trilogy remake at times. The other announcement is for a game that has been leaked on a number of occasions over the past few years, yet there still isn't any concrete information that proves it exists. Metroid Prime is a 3D action-adventure game in which players control series protagonist Samus Aran from a first-person perspective, unlike previous games of the Metroid series, with third-person elements used for Morph Ball mode. An announcement for a Metroid Prime 4 release window of 2023 would also be welcome. Prime 3 meanwhile was a Wii exclusive, meaning that controls were heavily focused on using motion. Whilst Nintendo has announced that a fourth entry is indeed coming to Switch consoles, the drought of information has certainly been felt by fans, who were unfortunately told back in 2019 that development had been restarted with original series developers, Retro Studios.The Retro Studios development restart of Metroid Prime 4 happened in 2019, so there has to be something to show of the game, even if it's the briefest of teaser trailers, a title card, or some artwork to prove that the game is still being made. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 released on both the Nintendo Wii as well as the GameCube.
